Postcards from the Future

In an era dominated by rapid technological advancements and the ever-growing concerns of climate change, the way we perceive travel is undergoing a transformative shift. Our planet is experiencing unprecedented changes, and the impact of climate change on various aspects of our lives, including travel, cannot be ignored.

The travel industry, once synonymous with exploration and adventure, is now facing the harsh realities of climate change. Rising temperatures, extreme weather events, and environmental degradation are altering the landscapes we once roamed freely. From disappearing coastlines to melting glaciers, these changes are reshaping the destinations that have long been on the bucket list for all of us.

My “Postcards from the future”  offers a glimpse into tomorrow. Using the magic of AI (Midjourney), these postcards become a creative canvas where the future unfolds in unexpected and imaginative ways.

Every Monday on my Instagram page, these postcards transport followers to whimsical and thought-provoking scenarios where travel, monument conservation, and climate change have taken on unexpected dimensions.

These images serve as a creative medium to provoke contemplation about the future of our planet and the consequences of our actions.

GLACIER MELTING

Travel agencies report a growing interest in witnessing vanishing wonders before it’s too late A recent @unesco report predicts that one-third of iconic World Heritage glaciers will disappear by 2050. But traveling to these threatened places can have a two-sided impact:more tourists can boost local economies and raise climate change awareness, but they can also strain fragile environments. Warmer temperatures are making these places more accessible, but also more unstable.
