The Visualler is a travel blog by Carmelinda Covino. The shop is run by ExperienceDesignGuru, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This page explains what data is used when you read the blog or buy a guide. We keep it to the minimum.

Reading the blog

There are no accounts, no comments and no newsletter, so we do not ask for your personal data. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes basic technical data such as your IP address and browser to deliver pages and protect the site. We do not use our own advertising or tracking cookies.

Buying a guide

Payments are handled by Stripe. Stripe collects your name, email, payment details and country to process the payment, prevent fraud and send your receipt. We receive your name, email, what you bought and when, and use them only to deliver your guide, answer you and keep accounting records required by law. We never see or store your card number. The download page checks your order with Stripe each time you open it, and the guide files are stored privately on Cloudflare.

Third party content

  • GetYourGuide: tour cards and an analytics script from GetYourGuide load on our pages, and GetYourGuide may set cookies to track bookings made through our affiliate links.
  • Booking.com, Viator, Trip.com and other partners: when you click an affiliate link you land on their site, which may set cookies to credit the booking to us. Their own privacy policies apply.
  • YouTube: videos load from youtube-nocookie.com and only after you press play.
  • Google Maps and Google Fonts: embedded maps and fonts are loaded from Google.

How long we keep data

Purchase records are kept for as long as accounting and tax rules require, then deleted. We keep nothing else about you.

Your rights

You can ask what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to its use, subject to legal retention duties. Contact us by replying to your Stripe receipt or messaging @lineccepibile on Instagram. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
